John Edward Capan, Jr., 70, of Coolspring, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025.
He was born October 5, 1954, in Uniontown, a son of Sophie Markusic Capan of Hopwood and the late John Edward Capan, Sr. In addition to his father, John was preceded in death by a son, Michael Allen Capan and a brother, Dave Capan.
John is survived by his children, John Edward Capan III (April) of Hopwood, and Victoria Capan (Mark) of Hopwood his grandchildren, Tyson Capan of Connellsville, Audrey Swartz of Hopwood, and Adalyn Downs of Hopwood ex-wife, Sheryl siblings, William “Bill” Capan of Lemont Furnace, and Robert “Bob” Capan (Debbie) of Hopwood and many nieces and nephews.
He was a life member of Coolspring AC and a longtime member of Salem Beagle Club. John was a retired truck driver for DLM Trucking.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m., the hour of the funeral service, Thursday, January 9, in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood.
