Franklin Myles "Harley" Raffle, 50, of Charleroi, Pa., and formerly of Hopwood, Pa., passed away Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, at his home. He was born May 21, 1954, in Uniontown, son of John A. Raffle, Sr., of Dunbar, and the late Sarah Margaret Doyle Raffle.
In addition to his mother, he is predeceased by a brother, John A. Raffle, Jr. In addition to his father, he is survived by two daughters, Amanda Raffle of Brier Hill, and Crystal Raffle Williams and her son Saron Gil. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Karen and husband Timothy "Hawk" Martin of Hopwood, Kevin "Spike" and wife Fran Raffle of Uniontown, Kathy and husband Roger "Butch" Glisan of Farmington, and Kimberly Raffle and John "Farmer" Stanec of Hopwood. These nieces and nephews also survive him: Adam, Adele and Abby Martin of Hopwood, and Heather Raffle and her children, Mikiah, Taishawn and Troshawn of Hopwood. Special nephew and little buddy Jacob Glisan of Farmington, special friends Mary Anne and John J.T. Toth of Twilight and many dear family and friends from everywhere also survive him.
He was a dedicated Harley-Davidson enthusiast, and he enjoyed traveling to drag, stock, NASCAR and bike races. He was employed at J.T. Auto and Cycle and Collision Center in Twilight Borough. He will be sadly missed by his many friends and relatives.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, today from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday until 11 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held with Brother Damion Murkley O.F.M. Interment will follow in the Hopwood Cemetery.
